•    Myth 1: Plastic surgery and cosmetic surgery is more or less the same thing:

No, they aren’t same. Although cosmetic surgery is a huge chunk of plastic surgery they aren’t the two sides of the same coin. There are some basic and underlying differences in between two of them. Without cosmetic surgery, plastic surgery includes a very important factor of reconstructing birth defects. So, they aren’t same, and cosmetic surgery is only an apart of plastic surgery.

•    Myth 2: Plastic Surgery is all about artificial beauty enhancement:

As we already discussed in the first point of this blog post. Plastic surgery isn’t only about artificial beauty enhancement. It can reconstruct birth defects and also, rectify any scars and marks caused by some accidents, like burn scars, post-operative scars etc. So, plastic surgery is also about reconfiguring patient’s self-confidence.

•    Myth 3: Plastic surgery is costly:

For many plastic surgeries isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity. And the myth of about being costly, it was true; plastic surgery industry wouldn’t be ballooned up like this. Most patients aren’t rich or affluent but are commoners who simply wish to restore confidence and improve their overall lifestyle.
